The Huntington Line

Der Bassist der Indie Band »The Amsterdams« über Peripherie, Grenze und Position in Bukarest:
»It is a cultural option to sing that kind of music. This is fun music in let's say Belgium or even Germany. But here it is something like a message. I mean you have to choose, because Bucharest is a city between east and west. Between Orient and West. And you have to decide: Where are you looking to: To the west or to the east? Living here, this is the place like the Huntington Line, where the civilisations are meeting and we have to choose. Cause we can't live, not knowing where we are. So that's why we play that music cause we like to think that we belong to the west.«
